Statement of ZHR
Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts,
with great sadness, anger, and concern we hear about the attack of Russia on Ukraine. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ukrainian citizens, especially with Ukrainian Scouts and Polish Scouts in Ukraine. We do not forget about Ukrainians in Poland, particularly friends of our scouts and among them our dearest fellow organization- The Ukrainian Scout Association in Poland. We have worked together in the sun and with joy, we will not leave you during the storm, nor in sadness.
A few days ago, during Word Thinking Day, we were exchanging best wishes, concerning also Ukrainian citizens and our fellows. On the 23rd of February, we were praying through the intercession of the patron of Polish Scouts, blessed priest Stefan Wincenty Frelichowski, for peace in Ukraine.
The Scouting Association of the Republic of Poland engages in the help for Ukraine. We are urgently undertaking the necessary actions. The head of ZHR has drafted a crisis committee and has ordered scout precincts, The Scouting Emergency Troops to take up service.
The ZHR council will make the necessary decision in collaboration with other scouting executives and associations, the national and local government.
We invite every member, friend, follower of ZHR to become involved in solidarity actions for Ukraine and its citizens.

Donation for material help for citizens of Ukraine
The Scouting Association of the Republic of Poland (ZHR) is actively supporting Ukraine. As we have mentioned, the Council of ZHR has taken organizational actions with the collaboration of the national, local government, non-governmental and scouting organizations. We are in direct contact with PAH, Caritas, National Blood Bank, Polish National Help Center, and also with governors and government administration.
Our structured help needs to be as efficient as possible, thus please fill out the questionnaire, which allows us to estimate our possible scope of activity.
We are organizing material help for the families that needed to escape the country. For this purpose, we have opened up an individual ZHR bank account, in which we are collecting financial aid. With the given funding, we will purchase food, cleaning products, medical supplies but also we will organize the transport and accommodation for the ones in need. The smallest amount of funding will support our actions.
